This includes all forms of technology such as computers, the Internet, websites and fixed telephones, cellphones and other wireless communication devices, networks, broadband and various special devices.
In the last few decades, the development of information and communication technology has made it easy for the public. For example, people can communicate quickly with other people in various countries using technologies such as instant messaging, voice over IP (VoIP), and video conferencing. Social networking sites like Facebook allow users from all over the world to stay in touch and communicate regularly.

Modern information and communication technology has created progress in every area where people can communicate with others throughout the world as if they live next door. For this reason, ICTs are often studied in the context of how modern communication technologies affect society.

Application of ICT in the Business World

Today's business world has been greatly influenced by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the application of ICT in business circles is widespread. ICTs are rapidly changing global production, work and business methods and trade and consumption patterns within and between businesses and consumers. The adoption of ICT is seen as a means to enable this business to compete on a global scale, with increased efficiency, and closer customer and supplier relations. In this regard, SMEs must consider information and communication technology (ICT) as an important approach in their business to take competitive advantage from global markets.
